Terms of use
These Terms of Use explain the basic rules for using Credit Plainly. They are written in plain English because the site is an educational publisher, not a place for hidden conditions or surprise promises.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Credit Plainly, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
Operator identity
CreditPlainly is operated by LEGITIME DOMAINS d.o.o., Ulica Stjepana Gradića 1, 10010 Zagreb, Croatia.
Educational use only
Credit Plainly publishes general education about U.S. consumer credit topics, including credit reports, credit scores, disputes, credit repair limits, monitoring, and credit-building concepts. The site is designed to help you understand topics and prepare your own next steps. It is not personalized advice.
Not professional advice
Credit Plainly does not provide legal, financial, tax, credit repair, or other professional advice. Your personal situation may depend on facts, documents, contracts, deadlines, state law, federal law, lender policies, bureau practices, or professional judgment that a website cannot evaluate for you.
What Credit Plainly is not
Credit Plainly is not a bank, lender, credit union, credit bureau, consumer reporting agency, credit repair organization, law firm, government agency, fiduciary, or personal advisor. Using this site does not create an attorney-client, advisor-client, fiduciary, or credit repair services relationship.
No guarantees
Credit Plainly does not guarantee:
- Credit score increases.
- Loan, card, rental, employment, insurance, or other approvals.
- Any specific dispute result.
- Deletion or removal of negative information.
- Removal of accurate negative information from a credit report.
- That any tool, checklist, or letter draft will be accepted by a bureau, creditor, collector, lender, court, or agency.
Tools and calculators
Tools, calculators, estimators, checklists, and letter helpers are educational aids. They are designed to run in the browser where practical and to avoid unnecessary sensitive information. The dispute letter generator drafts text only. It does not submit disputes, contact credit bureaus, contact creditors, contact collectors, file complaints, or send documents for you.
You must verify facts, review any generated text, remove inaccurate statements, and use official bureau, lender, collector, court, or agency channels if you decide to act. Do not use Credit Plainly tools to submit false disputes, false complaints, or false information.
User responsibility
You are responsible for decisions you make after reading the site. Before acting on time-sensitive or high-stakes information, verify details with official sources or a qualified professional. This is especially important for deadlines, legal rights, credit report disputes, debt collection questions, credit repair services, lending decisions, and identity theft issues.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site. That includes:
- Using the site for unlawful purposes.
- Using tools to create false, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent submissions.
- Attempting to disrupt, probe, overload, scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the site in a way that harms operation.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your authority.
- Sending Social Security numbers, full account numbers, credit report uploads, bank logins, passwords, or sensitive documents through ordinary contact channels.
Third-party links and partner links
Credit Plainly may link to third-party websites, official sources, tools, products, or partner offers. Third-party sites have their own terms, privacy practices, pricing, eligibility rules, cancellation rules, and decisions. Credit Plainly does not control those third parties.
Some partner links may compensate the operator when users click, call, sign up, submit information, or purchase a third-party service. Partner relationships are explained in our advertising disclosure.
Intellectual property
The site design, text, tools, code, graphics, brand elements, and other materials are owned by Credit Plainly or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may link to public pages and use the site for personal education. You may not copy, resell, republish, or scrape substantial parts of the site without permission.
Accuracy and updates
We aim to keep content useful and accurate, but laws, bureau policies, product terms, prices, fees, affiliate offers, and official source materials can change. Use official sources for time-sensitive decisions. If you see a possible error, please use our corrections process.
No warranties
Credit Plainly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly secure, complete, current, or suitable for your particular situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Credit Plainly and its operators disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the site, reliance on educational content, use of tools, generated text, outbound links, partner offers, or inability to access the site.
Indemnity
If your misuse of the site, false submission, unlawful conduct, or violation of these terms causes claims or costs, you agree to be responsible for those claims and costs to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law and venue
The operator is located in Croatia. To avoid overstating legal procedure in a short public policy, we do not use this page to give readers legal advice about jurisdiction, venue, or conflict-of-law questions. If a dispute arises, those questions may depend on the facts and applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site, tools, business practices, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the site after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
